Because ALL the Public Schools had them in every classroom. *sigh*</i><br /><br />This phenomenon is a huge problem.<br /><br />I think this is what people used to call "cultural hegemony" back in graduate school.<br /><br />The ed school/union establishment is so immense that there is no escaping it.
