it could always be worse

  1. That meeting got postponed, with no new date set. Something about scheduling conflicts.

    So the Ridgewood school district still awaits their welcome of Marty Brooks.

  2. That was the middle school principal's big selling point on the middle school model.

    The kids could take a 6 week Explorations course on Darfur.

  3. I have a friend in Arkansas whose middle-schooler did a project on Darfur. What began as a lesson in showing compassion to others less fortunate, the project turned into let's bash the U.S. for not doing more to help the people of Darfur.

  4. Our kids gave money to some unknown group (unknown to me) for the purposes of "saving Darfur." They all got t-shirts.
