My neighbor sent me a link to the precision teaching people last year, but I never followed up. It's probably time.
Apparently students at the Morningside Academy in Seattle can gain more than two grade levels each year while adults can "advance two grade levels per month." (pdf file - I gather the school offers a money-back guarantee.)

Catherine, it's wonderful that you're discussing PT. Here's a link to another resource that you and some readers might find useful: Among Professional Papers in Special Education there is a fine article by Carl Binder, Elizabeth Haughton, & Barbara Bateman entitled "Fluency: Achieving True Mastery in the Learning Process." It's a keeper.

My daughter went to the Morningside Summer School and it was a very positive experience for her in making great progress in academic areas that the public school had been unable to assess and address adequately. To my understanding Morningside has never had to refund the tuition. We certainly felt no cause to ask for the money back.
