Nickelodeon's poll (Kids Pick the President) will be released on October 20th. They actually broadcast quite a good election special for kids hosted by Linda Ellerbee last week.
Illinois Senator Obama won 54.7 percent of the votes in Weekly Reader's 14th poll. Republican Senator John McCain of Arizona claimed 42.9 percent of student' votes. A remaining 2.5 percent of the votes went to "other" candidates.
Does anyone know if the Weekly Reader kids voted yet?

ReplyDeleteWeekly Reader will announce their winner on October 29th.
ReplyDeleteAs I recall, Nickelodeon doesn't predict well. I have a memory that Weekly Reader has never missed (but haven't checked).

ReplyDeleteI'm sure you're right. It didn't seem that there were limits on how many times you could vote. That's a huge problem right out of the gate.
Weekly Reader kids picked Obama.
