Catherine, Thank you so much for drawing my attention to Singapore Math on the blog. My daughter is now twelve years old and she's attending the first year of an English grammar school. In the past, I've taught her using something called Schofield and Simms 'Mental Maths', which was, for the primary phase in UK, absolutely great. The problem is that it stops there and we're left with the usual stuff which follows the curriculum. I've found a source for Singapore Math in the UK and am waiting for them to send us the first book (Elementary). I'll tell you how we get on. Best wishes, John
