speaking of rightwingprof

I've just seen this posted on the Clay Bond Memorial Facebook Page:
warning to Clay's Internet friends: Central Pennsylvania Orthodox will probably stay up for awhile because it runs on freeware. Right Wing Nation will vaporize at some point because there is a monthly charge for the blogspace. Cut and scrape things you want to keep, ok?
I'm going to save I Want an Answer now, but there must be a zillion other keepers on his site--does anyone have any ideas?

  1. Oh, man -- I hadn't realized he died. Thanks for posting the link to the FB memorial page.

(Catherine -- are you on FB? I did a cursory search, but, hooboy! There are over 1900 CJ's on FB.

Facebook: where you'll never find people with common names.{TM} )

  2. I am horrified to say that I just found out myself from Susan S, when I saw her in Evanston last week.

  3. I got thrown off of Facebook!

Either Facebook or the other one ---- ??

There was a site put up to protest the transfer of a brilliant Spanish teacher here from the h.s. to the middle school & I joined it using a pseudonym, which I learned was against the rules after they dumped me.

They were supposed to fix my account but I never heard back.

I'll have to re-join using my real name and a different email, I guess...

  4. He died so fast. It's so upsetting. I was looking through the posts; he learned he had cancer last October or November. Died in early January.

    Remember Ricky, My Tutee???

  5. Hey - if you're on Facebook, could you put a post up on the memorial page saying we're talking about rightwingprof here?

(If you think that's a good idea. I don't know the etiquette.)

  6. Catherine -- I did put up a post there, letting them know he was an appreciated and valued contributor here, and put a link to his tagged posts.

  9. I didn't know he had passed away either. How sad :-( Though having witnessed several relatives' painful suffering from cancer, better quick than a long agonizing battle.

  10. I had no idea, either... It's amazing - I never met the man, had no idea what his real name even was, and yet can feel such loss with his passing.
