Run by the Gates Foundation and somebody from TERC and somebody else from NCTM are on their advisory board. My Spidey sense is tingling pretty strongly...
So far I've looked at only 2 or 3 examples (lower grades), but I like it. I like that there are examples clarifying what the standards mean. Communication is good. If I'm going to disagree with someone about whether a set of standards is a good idea, I'd prefer it if we both agreed on what it was we were disagreeing about. I know there are ways that things like this influencing how the standards will be implemented, but the examples I've seen so far look to me to be pretty reasonable, not much spin sorts of examples.
