I'm finding it incredible that about five seconds ago I was writing posts about teaching math to C., and today C. is taking his NY state teaching exam.
Meanwhile, our house went on the market yesterday.

Yeah, when I started reading KTM, I was interested in math ed for my students. Now I have a kindergartner and a second grader, and we are homeschooling Singapore Math.
Thought about your adventures and "they do what they do" the other day. My son was in a co-op preschool, and in one of our meetings a local kindergarten teacher talked about readiness and plans for the next year. They are going to full day kindergarten, despite opposition from the teachers who say it will give them less time to work one-on-one with the kids (who now divide into early and late birds) and from half the parents. But the administration decided it was preferable (I'm assuming they get more state funding), so there we go. They do what they do.
Good luck to C!
Yes, they do what they do, which is not anything in the public's interest. Main Street died here, as they continued to urge the families who dont qualify for free or reduced lunch to move to private school, giving them a push by cancelling all nonrequired-for-the-diploma courses and raising taxes. Add the massive amount of property tax exemptions and the lack of work for educated or skilled people , so they exit, heading to NC, GA, and FL as they look for jobs and schools that have college prep. The single family homes are turning in to multifamily or group homes. Very interesting to see how choosing to exclude educated people's children from the school district has affected demographics. Still not sure where those aging in place are going to find the workers they need to support them....
Yikes, tempus fugit! I started reading KTM regularly when C. was in sixth grade (or maybe just before he started sixth grade - can't remember now, but it was when the old site was still the KTM site).
Hard to believe C. is ready to start his own career! I still remember Catharine's battles at IMS, and the Earth Science saga, as well as the math. The details change, but the big picture doesn't change much. Wash, rinse, repeat......
I’m not that much of a online content redder to be honest but your website articles and which info are really nice, keep it up! I’ll go ahead and bookmark your website to come back in the future and reading different release. Many thanks and happy new year. descriptive essay -
