This blogger interface is getting seriously creaky. It's ancient; no one's updated the code in a gazillion years, and glitches I can't fix crop up.
The latest: I no longer see the "Sign in" menu at the top right-hand side of the screen.
Does anyone have any opinions on the possibility of moving to Wordpress?
I've been using Wordpress for quite a while now, and I love it.
Among other things, on Wordpress I can attach pdfs files.

Catherine, try a different browser perhaps. I am using Chrome and see the sign-in menu in its usual place.
I don't like Wordpress myself, at least for comments (doesn't let you preview them, at least on Joanne Jacobs' site), and I haven't seen any Wordpress blogs with the kind of linke etc. you have on this one.
My first time ever visiting your site, but as a web developer I can chime in here:
WordPress is the most popular blogging platform (last I heard), and with good reason. It is incredibly powerful, and flexible. You can make something simple, or fancy, whatever you want. Everything you have here, could be duplicated and perhaps even enhanced in WordPress.
However, it would cost time and perhaps money, and you'll have to decide whether that's worth it to you. That said, if you're going to migrate *anywhere*, WordPress would be my first recommendation, hands down.
Also, I am looking forward to exploring your archives, both through a personal interest in education and pedagogy, and because my fiance is getting her multi-subject credential right now... :-)
Luke
Sorry, I missed the part about how you already use WordPress. So the question is how to migrate. I looked up a few articles on the subject; it certainly can be done, although there are perhaps some tricky parts. Best of luck! :-)
*Sigh*...
So, your blog is very depressing. :-/ But I'm pretty used to that these days when it comes to the subject of education. It's always worse than you think, indeed.
I just moved my blog from Blogger to WordPress. I was very nervous, but it was actually very easy! There are plug-ins available that do all the importing for you. I've had some trouble re-routing the permalinks of old posts to the new Wordpress ones, but I'm seeking help on that...
I definitely say go for it! Blogger is dying. I wouldn't be surprised if they folded, once they hooked up a massive (and probably messy) auto-export feature to something like WordPress.
Blogger has had the worst problems with comments of any blogging platform I've commented on. For several months I stopped reading any blogger blogs, because it was so frustrating that they didn't work right.
Wordpress.com provides free Wordpress blogs that seem to work quite well (I'm up to 1292 posts on my gasstationwithoutpumps.wordpress.com blog) They supposedly provide a good import capability for moving blogs from other platforms, but I've not used it.
I highly recommend getting off of blogger. Two years ago would have been the right time to do so...the ship is almost completely sunk now.
I strongly encourage a switch, and Wordpress would be the best place to go. I'm willing to help, if any assistance is needed.
Hi, Luke!
I'm laughing.... (thanks for the advice)...laughing over the part where you've read some of the posts...
Blogger is driving me crazy.
I was thinking I would just leave this here, and start fresh on Wordpress...but I suppose if they've got a Big Fat Import Button I can hit that.
Any preferences for themes?
Can't believe Wordpress doesn't have comment previews...I'm trying to remember whether historinhas has previews...
Why is blogger dying?
Anybody know?
Google poisoning.
If Wordpress doesn't by default have comment previews, then you can install it as a plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/live-comment-preview/
