I am **just** starting to decompress.

This morning I sorted & folded & put away all the summer & winter clothes I got out - when? - two months ago?

Five minutes ago, I assembled Surfer's new invisible fence collar.

This is progress.

wow!

I even know where I stashed the new direction booklet and the groovy new butterfly tool thingie I'm supposed to use to set the "static correction level."

Whatever that is.

If things keep going at this rate, I may actually make some travel plans.

Merry Christmas to you, Catherine. Thanks for creating this blog, on which you accommodate a wide variety of views, even mine.

Great photo! How about an update -- how's Jimmy making out in his new domicile, and how is Andrew doing? You last posted about his fascination with the big calendar, I think...

Hi palisadesk!

Jimmy seems to have adjusted well to his group home, which is only 2.5 miles away, so we see him twice a week. Hard to tell, of course, but he acts pretty happy (and he's lost beaucoup weight, thank God).

Meanwhile, Andrew is gaining weight...

We've got to be one of the few households in the country where both parents are thin, and the kids are struggling with weight.

We're probably FINALLY in the process of banning Andrew's beloved Kraft cheese food; he'll be eating peanut butter and bread from now on instead of "cheese toast."

I expect him to lose weight; I've been skinny ever since I went on a vegan diet a year and a half ago (and have stayed skinny after becoming a vegan fellow traveler).

Gotta finally write my post about weight loss & veganism....

I think I've discovered the secret to being thin - and I can't convince anyone!
