I can't tell what it is the women (teachers, I take it) are holding up -- some kind of journal? A "reflection"? (one of the parts of edu grad school I find the most off-putting).
The teacher who made the "That's four hours of my life I'll never get back" comment had just attended some kind of required professional development workshop. iirc, it may have been a workshop on scoring the state tests in which teachers weren't allowed to ask questions

wow - it's good to be back - looks like some of you guys put up some posts while I was hiding out with my Post It arrow flags. THANKS!
Now I can read everything at last (had to force myself to stay away just in case....)
I suppose it's no fair entering my own contest, but what the heck
My caption comes from a teacher blog (can't remember the teacher, now, unfortunately -- I believe she teaches in NYC):
"That's 4 hours of my life I'll never get back."
"I Surrender"
