Loomis Chafee summer reading list

Just heard from one of the ktm regulars whose son attends Loomis Chaffee -- Animals in Translation is on the summer reading list! (pdf file)

Of course, they left my name off the "Author" citation....

sigh

Hey, maybe now your district will consider you qualified to teach writing.

Interesting that they have Jared Diamond's Collapse, but not Guns, Germs, and Steel.

Good grief.

I didn't notice that.

Collapse is awful. (Haven't read it - this is a nigh-unto-universal view of the book.)

Guns, Germs, and Steel is supposed to be great.

Catherine,
When you made a comment one time about Animals in Translation, I immediately had to go look at my copy. Yep, there was your name right there! So, I've eaten dinner with one of the authors, and communicated with the other on a blog. So cool!
