re: weight loss, Bill Clinton, and books
These are the books I read:
The China Study by T. Colin Campbell
Reversing Heart Disease by Calwell B. Esselstyn
Dr. Neal Barnard's Program for Reversing Diabetes by Neal D. Barnard, M.D.
Eat to Live: The Revolutionary Formula for Fast and Sustained Weight Loss by Joel Fuhrman

What do you think of this lady's interpretation of the China Study?

Hey anonymous - Just checked out the site -
I don't have the time to try to go through everything she's posted.
Sorry!
that said....it wouldn't surprise me to learn that there's something 'funky' about wheat (my autistic kids are addicted to the stuff; me, too)
I wouldn't be surprised if there turned out to be something to the raw foods idea, either
Just be warned that raw foods can lead to skinny people with vitamin/mineral deficiencies. A student of mine loved spinach salads. Ate them at least once a day, until she wound up with anemia and very low calcium. Why? The oxalate in spinach was binding the small amounts of iron and calcium in her food (mostly from the dressing), so she didn't absorb any of them. Raw vegetables are full of nutrient blockers and other nasties. There is a reason historically that we've cooked them!
