stocking stuffers

Restoration Hardware always has a great bunch, and if you don't wait until the end of December to order they're still in stock.

bonus:

What are Little Hotties pocket warmers?

I've never heard of such a thing.

I'm getting some.

20Q

A friend of ours brought one of these over a couple of years ago. The kids were around...10, I think, at the time.

They had a blast with it.

The adults did, too.

Little Hotties are great. They are little packets containing a chemical that when shaken produces heat. We use them for skiing and put them inside gloves to keep our hands warm.

Thanks!

I had never heard of these things.

I ordered a bunch, since I now have a permanently cold hand problem....

I now buy hand warmers in bulk (from Sam's Club) because I have a cold fingers problem. Several years ago I developed Raynaud's Phenomenon. Basically, my fingers and toes are sensitive to the cold, and will start to turn white when exposed to the cold for very long. Winter is especially challenging in that regard, so I try to keep hand warmers close by most of the time.

Just as a note, you can buy heated gloves and heated socks. (See, for instance, this Amazon page.) If you are buying hand warming packets in bulk, something like these might be cheaper in the long run.

Are there super-thin gloves I could wear while typing???

Apparently I don't have Raynaud's...no idea what I do have.

Catherine,
You've probably got keyboard induced hypothermia (mouse hand).
You may need the finger equivalent of this great idea...

you're kidding!!!!!

there is such a thing as keyboard-induced hypothermia???

That Amazon link had heated fingerless USB gloves and a heated keyboard. With those, you should be set.

(Disclaimer: I have no idea whatever about the quality of any of the above.)
